Statement from the British Albanian Chamber of Commerce

The British Albanian Chamber of Commerce (BACC) has recently received enquiries from members, businesses, professionals and members of the wider community regarding its position on a number of current discussions relating to development, investment and governance in Albania.

As an independent and non-political business organisation, BACC does not take positions on individual projects, political matters or specific development proposals. Our role is to support economic cooperation, trade, investment and business relations between the United Kingdom and Albania.

At the same time, we recognise the importance of transparency, legal certainty, good governance, the rule of law and meaningful stakeholder engagement in matters of national significance. These principles are fundamental to maintaining public confidence and creating a stable and attractive environment for long-term investment.

Through our ongoing engagement with investors, businesses and professionals from the United Kingdom and beyond, issues relating to legal certainty, property rights and institutional transparency continue to be among the most important considerations when assessing investment opportunities in Albania.

BACC supports constructive, evidence-based dialogue on matters that affect Albania’s long-term economic development, environmental stewardship and national interests. We believe that sustainable growth is best achieved through transparent processes, strong institutions and a predictable investment environment that serves both current and future generations.

The Chamber remains committed to promoting trade, investment and economic cooperation while encouraging the highest standards of governance, transparency and responsible development.
