About Us

The British Albanian Chamber of Commerce (BACC) is a dynamic organisation committed to bolstering trade and investment flows between the United Kingdom and Albania. With a mission to strengthen bilateral economic ties, the Chamber focuses on creating opportunities for British and Albanian businesses to expand their reach, foster collaboration, and navigate market entry challenges. The Chamber enhances the business landscape by providing critical insights, resources, and networks, serving as a vital link between these two regions.

The Chamber acts as a bridge between British and Albanian enterprises, facilitating market entry and development initiatives. Through extensive networking events, trade missions, and strategic partnerships, the Chamber aims to support businesses in overcoming obstacles associated with international expansion. We strive to be the go-to resource for information, guidance, and advocacy, ensuring our members thrive in both markets.

The BACC Mission

  • To promote, assist and facilitate business trade and investment and serve the interests of the business community in the UK and Albania.
  • To support British businesses entering the Albanian market and Albanian businesses expanding into the UK with advice, information, and assistance by developing trading relations and facilitating commercial exchanges between the two countries.
  • To foster the development of and encourage and promote all commercial, industrial, tourist, and cultural relations; to strengthen bilateral economic relations; to foster a collaborative business environment; and to promote the business community’s interests.

The BACC Board

The BACC operates under a structured leadership model designed to promote collaboration, strategic oversight, and expert input across all areas of its mission. At its core, the BACC Board comprises elected members, including the Chief Executive, Chairman, two Vice Chairs, and Treasurer, forming the executive team responsible for the Chamber’s day-to-day management and governance. Supporting the Board is the General Advisory Committee, composed of board advisors and founding members. This body provides strategic direction, expert counsel, and continuity of vision, ensuring alignment with the Chamber’s long-term objectives.

The BACC Organisational Structure

In parallel with the leadership of the BACC Board, the Chamber’s broader organisational structure encompasses multiple layers of governance and collaboration to support its mission. The General Advisory Committee, alongside the Board, informs the work of specialist sub-committees chaired by board advisors, founding members, board members, and/or other invited contributors. These sub-committees focus on key thematic areas: Business and Trade, Scholarship and Education, Cultural and Community, Legislative and Policy, and Networking and Events. These committees play a crucial role in delivering targeted initiatives and engaging the broader membership in BACC’s ongoing development and bilateral efforts. The Board, with the support of the General Advisory Committee, retains the discretion to establish additional committees as the membership expands and the Chamber’s needs evolve.

The current focused committees are as follows:

  • Business & Trade Committee – Enhances bilateral trade, supports market entry, and promotes business partnerships.
  • Scholarship & Education Committee – Builds partnerships with UK and Albanian institutions; manages scholarships and professional development.
  • Cultural & Community Committee – Preserves and promotes Albanian heritage; organises cultural events and integration programs.
  • Legislative & Policy Committee – Monitors UK-Albania regulatory and policy matters; provides advocacy and guidance to members.
  • Networking & Events Committee – Designs and delivers networking events, roundtables, and member engagement initiatives.
